A partnership for good | London Sport named as official partner of world's 1st social impact network
Helping more people make a positive impact in the world through sport.
Press release issued 16th September 2021
At a time when needed most, Force for Good, the world’s first social impact network, today announces its official launch partnership with London Sport. London Sport exists to make London the most active city in the world, and Force for Good supports them on this mission, combining this with raising much needed funds for charity.
With hundreds of charity partners already enrolled pre-launch, including The Rainforest Trust and RE:ACT Disaster Response, Force for Good will change the way people give to charity. Whether it’s running, walking, swimming or cycling, to support our NHS workers, raising awareness for Mental Health, or championing LGBTQIA+ rights and everything in between; there’s something on the platform for everyone to take part in.
“Challenges and particularly sporting challenges are central to successful fundraising, so London Sport is the perfect partner for Force for Good,” said Lucy Bennett-Baggs, Founder and CEO of Force for Good, “I’m personally passionate about the power sport has to drive change and make a positive impact in the world, and this partnership will help us support many more people turn their physical activity into giving back and driving change.”
The Force for Good app moves away from transactional giving by creating empowered communities that drive change.
“We are delighted to be supporting and backing Force for Good at such an early and critical stage. We believe Force for Good will be part of the solution which enables charities, and in particular with our focus, those using physical activity and sport as a tool for development and societal change, to recover and restart their campaigns and intervention,” said Alex Zurita, Head of Sport at Tech Hub, established by London Sport with the purpose of accelerating the use of technology to help more people become active.
Force for Good launches internationally in October 2021, with more details to be announced shortly on how people can download and get involved. For any charities who think they might benefit from a digital solution like this, please do get in touch by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
